Hi all, well tonights the night I have called a meeting with mindees mum (2 brothers) regarding her shift work and holding places open (see previous post titled shift workers)
I have told her it is to do a contract review as she is moving this week anyway but I am going to tell her that I cannot afford to hold 5 days open for her and she only wants 2 !!! this is term time and holidays so I could be losing out on other mindees!!!
I have decided that I want paying for the places I am holding open!!!
THANK YOU DEBBIES26 :)
I feel very anxious about seeing her later but if I don't say anything I will feel as though I am being taken for granted iyswim.
Anyway please wish me luck and hope she is ok about it

Good Luck Zoe , I hope it goes well and the parent understands its a big ask, I totally agree with you you could lose out on other potential contracts and therefore income by holding her days she doesnt need for nothing xxxx

Good luck hunni and don't let her make you feel guilty! If she needs different days each week she will have to pay you for them all.

I am sure that you have made the right decision for your business. Just be friendly but assertive and you will be fine.

Let us know how you go.

Well she came, I explained the situation and made sure she understood what I was doing and why........ she just said "I will do whatever is best for you" :clapping: :clapping: :clapping: sorted :) All this worry for nothing!!!
If I was to take anymore shift workers on this is the way I will do it.

Debbie thank you sooooo much for taking the time to explain all this to me I would never have done it without you :) x x x
