On my reg cert it says 2 5-8 years old. My ofsted inspector said over 8's there isnt a limit but it cant impact the care of the younger ones IYSWIM

As long as you dont have more than 6 under 8 (or howevermany it states on your cert) then its fine and and you can have as many over 8s you feel you can cope with as long as it dosent effect the younger ones.
at the moment i have 4 over 5's and 3 under most days (2 older ones are mine ) and this is enough for my own children to cope with so thats it for me.

Mine says 4 under 8's because I have 2 under 8's of my own. the ncma insurance is for 6 under 8 and 6 over 8 as a maximum or whatever it says on your certificate.
