Answers on a postcard please!

Just been putting stickers on change for life chart and child commented that he had crisps yesterday so they count as one of his 5 a day because they are made of potatoes and potatoes are a vegetable. :ROFL1:

We had the discussion all the way up to school

In the end I asked the child to ask his teacher to explain why potatoes aren't classed as a vegetable in your 5 a day :D

If sweetcorn is a vegetable why aren't cornflakes?
I've eaten all the orange and strawberry creams from a tin of quality street, surely they count too!:clapping:

If you want a serious answer though, don't they have to be fresh, tinned, frozen or juiced to count? I am sure I have seen some advertising to that effect somewhere, try the change 4 life website.
