I went to the scout fireworks tonight, where we were chatting with the Granny of one of my mindees who picks mindee up every afternoon when he's with me. One of her friends came up and she said 'have you met? This is Hs childminder - his other Mummy'. I thought it was so lovely to be thoguht of that way and it's nice to be appreciated :D

One of my Mum's calls me that - she refers to me when talking to other people as F's other Mummy. And when she talks to him she says things like 'oh you love your Sophie don't you?'
It's lovely to be thought of that way, although on my ICP course the tutor was always stressing that we are not their second Mummy's, we are their professional carers but I think it's lovely when parents initiate it - it makes us feel appreciated!
