Why? Please say its some mis hap you have had with them spilling everywhere!!!

We have them but I have spilt the box before whilst tidying them after telling the children to be careful not to spill them!

not because they've been spilt but becase we ended up in A&E with mark (was 5 at the time) they thought he'd need emergency surgry :panic:

he put a hama bead up his nose, and it was that far up the couldn't get it out and as it was a black one (and not brightly coloured) they couldn't see it properly, and the dr's were worried about it going further and going into his lung

they had to sedate him to get it out :panic:

they told me that they have loads of kids in for the same thing and as the beads are so small they go further than things like pennies and beads

i'd rather not risk it happening again, my RA on them would deam them unsafe, it was a horrible experience :(

I'd love to use them but would only let 8+ use them I think and I don't have any that age!

If anyone does use them anyway, I saw cheap packs of the ironing type in Poundland, not branded but assume they are compatible.

the cheap ones are rubbish, they dont stick together properly

When I was in 4th yr Juniors (now Yr 6) my friend put a bead in his ear at school and had to be taken to hospital for removal - we were 11 !!!

Hi thanks for this! I am desperately looking for a Christmas Tree Hama Beads one if anyone has a link I would be more than grateful.

My little girl has a school fayre this Thursday and each child has to provide something for the Christmas or home made stall. I have done 2 stars as coasters and obviously will do another 4 but I am looking for the tree one too.

If anyone could help I would be grateful.
