TV?

My family and friends think i am the only person in the world to a big fat old fashioned tv.lol.

So now i am earning a bit more i thought i would make them all happy and update it. the sound on it is rubbish anyway and is getting worse.

Its not got a huge screen but is big enough for me and my little room, i think its about 22".

I am just debating wether or not to get a bigger screen or stick with a simialr size as i dont want it to dominate the room.

Just wondered how big is everyone elses?

 we've got a 32 inch i think but its an 'old' box one - don't like the picture you get on a fat screen and they seem so unstable - plus a waste of money, mine cost a fiver off ebay!

Think ours is 32" - its a flat screen & when we first got it to replace our box one we both hated it!! It seemed massive, but we're used to it now & I love it. I love the fact that it doesn't take up hardly any room :)

Got 42" flat screen in living room, got a good deal in costco, so moved 32" box one into conservatory, (it is probably a bit big for the floor space in there, but cant justify buying a flat screen to go on the wall), well not yet anyway!

We've got a 32" lcd flat screen (Sony Bravia). I thought it was a bit big at first, but it's slimness seems to make it less obvious than the huge old tv we had (I hate the fact that these days the TV is often the focal point of most peoples front rooms). When we were looking and comparing TV's we found the picture quality on the smaller ones didn't seem as good as the larger ones. Also we got the 32" for the same price that shops were charging for 23 and 26" ones. They said in the shop that it was because the turnover on 32" ones was much higher than the smaller ones so they could be more competitively priced.
We got ours from Marks and Spencers online. They gave us a 5 yr warranty for free and they delivered and installed it for free (and at the time they were £50 cheaper for the same model than any other retailer)

We have a 50" LCD on the wall above the fireplace, my mindees went home and asked their dad to get them one like it   I think its too big, but having a TV on the wall frees up a lot of floor space and is safer when the mindees a getting a bit excited.

Goodness mine seems quite miniscule compared to all yours . Its only 26" i think and not a flat screen . I thought that was huge when we first had it ( in fact i had a headache for days :o ) i don't know if i could cope with anything larger !!

32".

We have found that unless you are sitting far enough away with anything bigger the screen looks very pixelated,so unless you have a long lounge we have found a smaller one to be great.

Our 28" broke before we moved and we got a 19" to replace it. Used to it now - although we got that size so we could put it in the playroom when we could afford a 28" again :) (Brother is moving and giving us his 32" so it doesn't have to go into storage, so no need to buy yet:thumbsup: )

Got another 19" in our bedroom, old style portable in dining room and also playroom for now.

Love TV but don't like big ones, our rooms are too small to take them as well. Small is beautiful :) :) :)

Your not the only one I have a big fat chunky old fashioned tv too :) Its only 2 years old as my TV blew when their dad left and that was the cheapest TV I could get as it was that or no TV. I would love a nice one but am waiting until BF moves in at some point as his is huge but he has already said he is worried about the kids smashing it

We have a 42" flat screen tv in the living room which is almost bust because of mindees banging it with toys and pushing each other into it. The picture now flickers and everybody looks red, david dickinson looks fried! lol.

We were thinking about replacing it but to be honest i didnt want another flat screen and i told DP that if we did it would have to go on the wall. He is sulking because he says the kids spoil all his fun, but at least we wont be wasting more money for the kids to break it!

we have a 50" Plasma in the lounge, it is huge and dominates the room and is highly unflattering of all celebs! But it is my husbands baby and I dont mind. He puts up with the 6ft x 4ft display board for minding I have up in the dining room so I figure I should just get on with disliking the huge tv quietly!
