I managed to cover my 3yr old (very fair skinned very blond haired and very bedecked out in pink today) mindee in black paint - all down her left hand side from top to bottom!

I was trying to get the top of the paint pot and as I tugged the top I must have squeezed the bottle at the same time and the thing erupted like a volcano - just as my mindee came close - the paint went up and straight down on her and all over my table, all down my walls, dripping off the ceiling....all over me (mainly on mindee though). Poor kid didn't know what to make of it as she had huge globbs dripping out of her hair and down her face.

I couldn't help but laugh.

Mirth didn't last long though - 5 minutes later - Harry who was playing down the garden fell of the 2ft high toddler slide! (resulted in hasty trip to a&e as is elbow started to swell) so I had to take a very mucky mindee straight home on way to a&e.

(Harry is fine btw - they think he has twisted it (although it was a struggle to get him to walk into the hospital) but to go back tomorrow if its still swollen and hurting! He is playing at the moment

Oh dear! Hope the 3 yr old saw the funny side of it too!! :)
Have you managed to clean it all up?

The yellow paint at surestart kept exploding and apparently nes have started making organic paint and the mixture wasnt right! That too went all over the ceiling!

Glad Harry is ok, hope you dont have to back tomorrow.

Stay clear of the paint!- or open it in the garden!

I think I was chuntering something else to myself other than wow.

I delivered mindee back to her mum absolutely covered, full of apologies and a brief I will ring you later.

Mindee did see the funny side eventually btw!

What a nightmare :panic:

Glad Harry is ok and hope the paint comes out of mindee.

Mine were using black paint yesterday and it was a nightmare to get out! We also did cornflour glupe with food colouring the day before, which left their hands a bit green :D One of my Mum's is a bit OCD (by her own admission) she was dead impressed

**groan**

Pip - I'm so glad H is ok, send him a gentle Auntie P hug.

Trouble is now though, after reading of the black paint, I'm now stuck singing "Paint it Black" by the Stones

poor harry and poor mindee but even worse the mess
we were using black paint last year and i dropped the pot, it volcanoed out all up the walls and over the table and chairs and wouldn't come off my lovley butter colured walls until we redecorated this year.

i hope harry is ok and doesn't need to go back tomorrow
