View Full Version : Baby/Child on Board Signs - Reminder

Do you take yours out/down/off when you have no children in the vehicle?

I make sure I do now, as my friend was in an accident and the emergency services wasted valuable time searching for a child that was not there.
My brother (who is a fireman) agrees that people should be aware of taking the sign(s) out of the vehicle when not applicable.

Just a reminder guys!

My friends hubby is a firefighter and he told me this a while ago. I don't have a sign in the car now as I would keep forgetting to take it out!

Always seem to have children in the car but

Will remember to take down the sign when I take Theresa to Brum next weekend

Thanks for telling us as I would never have thought of that.

Gosh

I never thought of that either. I don't have a sign in my car, was thinking about getting one but don't think I'll bother now.

I've not got one but if I did I would find it annoying to have to take it out and put it back every five mins, saying that I'm not usually childless! I can see why you should take them out, it makes sense.

It's like with learner plates you're supposed to take them off if a learner isn't driving but no-one does!

I've never used one - I just have a little 'childminder' sign on the back...

I often think about it when I see 'baby on board' signs and things like that - and no children in the car :D

I don't have a child on board sign , but advertise on my car, my number reg childminder and moblie no.! I always have car seats in the car, so is that a bad thing too? As in would they be looking for them as car seats there?

sorry have to disagree, if i forgot to put sign back up and had an accident i and they didnt bother looking i would not forgive myself. so i will be keeping mine up no matter what, they should be checking anyway sign or no sign.

What we need is a sensor in the car seat that automaticaly switches on a sign when there is a child on board... quick I better patent that!!!
