done that one, now I'm at why and what what what as though she hasnt heard me but I do not reply back when she says what for a 2nd time, then she will repeat what I've said!

selective hearing with curiosity .... love it!

Oh I love that phase...

I always say 'it's Sarah's and Sarah shares'.

It does work... eventually! :D

I use that one - mine were fighting over a toy today and I said no its mine actually and I'm sharing it with you both, so play nicely please. That worked really well!

I had a word of the week the other week it was SHARE

It meant that it saying it 100 times a day (at that stage too) didn't drive me quite so mad!

Having no kids of my own and a 2 year old mindee who does all the above I suddenly feel much better!!!

"What you doing?"
"Making lunch"
"Why?"
"Because its lunch time"
"Why?"
"Because we are all hungry"
"Why?"
"Because its lunchtime"
"WHY?"
"Why not???"
".........."

Have now moved into a new one though

"Whats that called?"
"What do you think its called?"
"A chair"
"So why did you ask then?"
"Don't know ...."
.................................................. ....
"Whats that called?" :panic: :panic: :panic:

I have one mindee we called Delilah for a while because of why? why? why?
He is now 4 and is still very curious but now needs a full blown explanation for EVERYTHING!! (why do I blow smoke when it's cold outside?) :)

I get its mine every day from my 2 year old mindee and the latest is whats that noise.

I ask him what he thinks it is, and he answer but then 2 seconds later asks again whats that noise.

This can go on all day:)

I have this poem on my notice board. I love it;

TODDLER'S RULES
1. If I want it, it's mine.
2. If it's in my hand, it's mine.
3. If I can take it away from you, it's mine.
4. If I had it a little while ago, it's mine.
5. If it's mine, it must never appear to be yours in any way.
6. If we are building something together, all the pieces are mine.
7. If it just looks like mine, it's mine.
8. If I think it's mine, it's mine.
9. If I give it to you and change my mind later, it's mine.
10. Once it's mine, it will never belong to anyone else, no matter what.:)

I have a similar one which ends with-

And if it's broken, its yours!

Ooh I know the answer to this as I overheard DD1's head teacher telling the children on the playground last week. Its because its in between the Earth and the sun and the sun's reflection on it allows us to see it.
