4 year old after schooler wanted to do hand prints for mum for Sunday...

I had the idea to show her some Mehndi hand art on Google images and she was totally inspired - they came out really beautifully!

We cut them out when she had finished colouring them in and mounted them on a piece of Sparklebox Mothers Day paper... :D

Another great activity to do on a similar theme is to do hand art with the kids using the little tubes of coloured icing, instrad of using henna to make the patterns on their hands us the icing. Great fun, really messy, ofsted love it diversity and culture:) just don't let them eat too much - all those colours:eek:

Just wash off when you've finished, its a great activity to do with most age groups:)

I bet those were just gorgeous, Sarah, what a great idea! Creative deelopment, fine motor and diversity all rolled into one activity. I love those moments of inspiration when everything gels. The icing Mendhi sounds great fun, too.

I love Mendhi. I have a kit and my 16 year old daughter is going to do mine for me. I think it's really sexy, especially on the feet.
