 Hello all

am about to hit the hay but was just wondering (after going through it all today in anticpation of my inspection...eek!!! :panic: )

is this right...I've literally been only minding for a bit and have my inspection coming up

I have in each child's learning journeys...

- outlines of stages of development for each area of learning for the age of the child
- dividers for all the 6 areas with obs put in the relevant sections
- next steps for each area

is that how we go on doing it...observing and then planning next steps

I've done a "long term plan" for the year but not sure how I fit my obs into planning into the next weeks / months

Do I do only individual plans for the forthcoming weeks / months or do I do group plans and then do individuals spun off from those

sorry but I'm really confussed! (doesn't take much! )

thanks everyone xxx

What you have in place sounds great to me. Don't worry too much about where your obs fit etc. I often do spontaneous obs when i see a child so something - a "wow" moment.

Take a breath and start enjoying the job - Oftsed will love what you have done.

That sounds great!

Yes you are right - observation leads to individual planning which leads to more observation.

Good luck! :D
