Hi
Just curious how people went about advertising for children and also how long it took people to get interest etc?!! Not due on pre reg course til end of Nov but like to plan ahead!!!!

i used net mum, gumtree tree and put adverts up in the car and local shops, i got enquiries soon after and now im full mon - thurs and have a wee easy day friday
ah thanks for that....just dont want a lull after I gave up work to childmind full time...
really cant wait!looking forward to the course to find out more!

Its against the law to advertise as a childminder before your actually registered so Id hold back on advertising places yet. I have just finished my pre-reg course (very eye opening and informative). You can tell you friends etc that you ar doing the course though.
I work part time at the moment and have found that some people on the forum who havent got children lined up have been registered for a couple of months and then not had enquiries etc so havent had any form of income, so I definatley wouldnt quit your job as soon as your registered.
Hope you get sorted and enjoy the course as much as I did :-)
