Hi all. Hubby has just started working with me as an assistant but I cant work out how would be best to pay him and what we need to do

If He registers as self employed can he claim any expenses or
would it work out better to pay him (getting an accountant) and have tax and NI deducted and then me being able to claims that as an expense - if that make sense

Any advice much apreciated

I pay my son and as long as it is his only job and below the tax threshold I do not pay any tax or NI

I was thinking of paying him a fixed salary each month as the hours I actually will need him will vary but obviously as he my husband he probably will do more.

Do I need to record the hours he works if I do this?
