Thanks :)

we have a disscusion on a wedensday about what they would like for the following week and i encourage them to choose healthy meals , this is because 3 of the children only come monday to wedensday and i do my shopping on line wedensday night!
anyway we have the following

roast chicken potatos and veg
shephereds pie
lasagne
pasta with varoius sauces and garlic bread
chicken or beef stew
home made nuggets beans and spuds
sausages peas and mash
fish pie
fishfingers beans and potaots
make your own pizza's (a firm favourite)
spag bol
jacket spuds with varioius fillings

then on a wedensday its somthing and chips like nuggets or whatever. i am sure there are probably more but cant think of anything else, my kids eat with the minded ones at about 5pm then we eat later as there can be up to 7 kids to feed so no room at the table for us, fridays and the weekend my kids eat with us and when i speak to them about it they say they would rather eat with the mindees!!
I love my slow cooker and do most of the meals in this because i can bung everything in it in the morning and its cooked by 5pm with nothing else to do to it. if they eat a resonable amount then they get desert if not nothing
desserts

choc or strawb moose
choc cake
youghurts
ice cream
cakes they have made

Tonight we had chicken, roast peppers, tomatoes and either wraps or tacos - I have 2 who won't eat tacos

Tomorrow it's sausage casserole.

We have a 3 week menu which we re-write every 6 months or so.

The children (including my own) get their choices and we include parents wishes :D

Here's my weekly menus - they are on a 2 week rota

The menu reflects the fact 2 of my mindees eat a vegetarian diet

I buy the food fortnightly and it works out £1.08 per head/per meal/per day

anything quick and simple.

pasta and meatballs with carrots in pasta sauce

fish in crumbs with new pots (no peeling) and veg

pizza with veg or beans

fajitas with veg rice and wraps

stirfry

healthy hotdogs or burgers with home made oven chips

healthy oven baked sausage with cheesy brocoli mash

we have fruit and yog or choc biscuit after - no time for puddings (me to make them not the kids to eat them!)

Every day we have at least 2 veg so carrots in everything plus brocoli or sweetcorn. None of mine like peas and I've tried every other veg under sun cooked in every way imaginable. so, its boring but it gets eaten

today we had carrot and coriander soup with baguette followed by chocolate cake the kids made themselves.

they get anything from fish pie, lasagne, spag bol, mixed veg rice with sausages, pasta dishes, mashed potatoes, baked potatoes, roast potatoes, meat balls in tomato sauce with rice or stews from the slow cooker, pizza, winter veg soups..all kinds of soups really......

fruit, yoghurts, rice pudding, occasional cakes...

As all the food is homemade I do a lot of batch cooking and freezing and in advance cooking....
I also have a slow cooker where I can prepare something in the evening then I leave it on over night and the next day is already taken care of.
