Hi,

Does anyone do Childminder support for newly registered childminders, heard at my local Childminder Drop-in today that my area is looking for people but I dont want to get overloaded as am going to go on waiting list for NVQ3 and then there is the EYFS paperwork. Would like to get an idea of what it entails before contacting my Early Years.

Ive been a support childminder since the scheme started in our area a couple of years ago. Feel free to PM me with whatever you want to know and I will do my best to help :)

Yes I am one as well.

It just depends on how many people you have to support. Feel free to ask questions

I am one too. In my area it involves phoning them a minimum of once a month.

Also, if they live close enough, meeting them at toddler groups and introducing them, generally helping if they have queries.

So I usually only spend about 10 mins a month on each minder I support, so no big commitment, as long as I am prepared to give more time if they need more help, which I am.
