I read somewhere that you can't refund money from vouchers

( not sure If I'm right there!)

so say your parents pay monthly in advance and then due to sickness you aren't able to offer place and charge no fee.....

you effectively own parent money - is it okay to just give them the cash / cheque in refund and mark this on your accounts

otherwise I can't see how you would do it?

sorry to be super thick!

Your correcct that you cant refund the vouchers so in the situation you describe i would deduct from the next months invoice and just ask them for less the next month.

thanks hun

how does that work if parents pay automatically into my account?

is it for them to sort out once I tell them what (adjusted) next months fees would be?

Yes they can change the amount each month.

I charge per calender month so my parents pay (by vouchers) a different amount each month. Likewise if you had to charge them extra due to overtime you had worked.

there are 2 routes you can either reduce fee's the following month or you can return the money to the voucher company. Giving parents voucher money direct is fraud since vouchers reduce the tax they pay in their salary. The tax man would not be pleased :panic:
