how do i get a website

how do i go about setting up a website? i have no idea how to do this but am quite good with computers, do i need to go to my internet provider or are there companys out there that give you free website address for you to develop yourself?

i did mine with freewebs.com hun

its free and you can basically do as you want with it
Make sure you make your site address to do with you and cm'ing (unlike me first time round lol)
