went on first part of my eyfs workshops for obs, planning and assesment last night
i honestly didnt know how many different obs there was you can do on children - tho they prefer some better than others

least i know how do them now - as had no clue tbh

anyone want know what type obs you can do, i can type it later for you (as off get car tax now)

Ive not been on the course myself keep meaning to tho but never find the time :rolleyes: go on then tell us give us some new ideas :clapping:

I am always keen to hear new things - I don't think my LA is running any training yet (I believe they ran out of money :( )

this one is a tracking ob... you put things out and mark where child starts where goes to next and so on (in order) .. note how long at each station for too is also good.

I am on a course next week for obs, although I am happy with my free description ones, and sometimes I use the tracking time line one to help me get an idea of the child's likes/dislikes with the toys in the setting

Anyone doing NVQ's ect will :rolleyes: at all the obs! At the end of the day, do what works for you and your setting:thumbsup:

oh gosh that takes me back....time sample, event sample, pie charts and sociograms :D i remember years ago doing a tracking on a child at toddlers....the mums were very suspicious of me with my note pad :laughing:

there used to be a really good document for birth to 3 on the internet somewhere with all those and many more obs listed...

I'll see if my memory can dredge it up... or if anyone else can remember..? :D
