Thanks for that Jo. how big is a rowan tree?

I've emailed it to my DD's school as they have an eco club.

Are rowan berries not highly poisonous?

Yes they are poisonous my neighbour has one and I have to brush up the berries every day that fall into my garden.

But I have printed it off for my ds to take into school for his eco club

Thank you:thumbsup:

I must say I find it an odd choice of tree to give away to child based settings.

Hi,

Google rowan berries, they are not poisonous although you wouldn't want to eat them raw since have a very acidic/taste!!! I would imagine one taste and you wouldn't try again!!!

You can cook with then to make jams etc which takes away the bitter taste.
