I also work alongside my mum in her house

because of this i can not claim for gas, electric, rent or anything related to her house. I do claim for toys and equipment as we usually go half on these things

One way around this, is by paying ur mum an amount towards here heating cost etc but then she will also have to declare this

dito, i think you can only claim for what you spend not what your mum spends
sorry x

I don't think you could claim the wear and tear element either as it's not your property.

You could ring HMRC for advice.

I work with my partner.

It's my house so I claim for wear and tear and running costs.

He has some food costs for the older children on his books plus he buys lots of games, toys, books, comics, outings fees etc that go through his accounts :D
