hey guys

doing a bit of fourm searching and just wondering...

is a learning journal the same as an all about me folder?

I have all contracts / permissions / signed copy of policys / personal stuff in individual files in a lockable metal box

...and have individual folders for each child called learning journals where I put all EYFS obs, planning, links to EYFS....

Is what I call my learning journal file the same as some of you call "all about me" file?

When a child first starts with you, you will want to find out about him from parents and the child himself...

That's an 'all about me' information sheet / form etc.

As the child is with you over time you need to jot down observations, planning etc...

That's a learning journey - it plots his activities, enjoyment, achievements etc with you :D
