On the way home form the library I stopped in at the charity shop & spotted a box of playmobil. I didn't expect there to be much in it, but when I looked, it was unopened.

It's a fab playground set and cost the grand total of 75p!!!

I do love a bargain :clapping:

Thats great. We have one that sells things at great prices. The cancer research was redone and they now charge £2 for a book, £4 for a game.

Wow!! That is a massive bargain!! I'm always in our charity shops but they would probably charge at least 5 x that amount.

Hope the children have hours of fun with it :D

Thats what you get for living in a posh town
- Sorry about that - I think the women who work in some of the charity shops in this town think its posh and its just so not - I really fancy going to visit the charity shops in Alderley Edge one day - I'd be intrigued to see if there are any bargains to be got there.

I went in to one in Macc one afternoon and it had a bag of ball pool balls which had been used and they were only 50p less than new ones at full price in Tescos and Early Learning.

I like our local Save the Children one - its prices are so cheap. I often give them some extra too.

They were featured on Mary Queen of Charity Shops on BBC2 a few weeks ago.

I love rooting around in the charity shops but I agree some now charge a lot for their toys.

Great bargain Mouse

My town is not posh but the one next to us is.

The charity shops are full of barely worn designer stuff. Sadly it's all size 8/10 so no good for me but the quality of toys and books is great.
