Hi all can anyone please help, I need more ideas as to what snacks to give the mindees after school. I do carrot and cucumber sticks with dip one night, chopped up mixed fruit on another night but need more ideas.

pitta bread and dips
breadsticks
dried fruit
fresh fruit
crackers and cheese
oatcakes and cheese spread
cereal bars
ricecakes with fruit
fruit kebabs
smoothies
hot cross buns
crumpets

thats what my lot have :D

scotch pancakes or welshcakes are dead easy to make

Faves here are

sandwiches of all descriptions on all kinds of breads
veg sticks/breadsticks and hummus or guacamole or salsa or cheese dips
cheese and crackers
toast/bagels/crumpets
yogurt/rice pud pots
pancakes
scones
bowl of cereal

I always think it is handy to have malt loaf in the cupboard. Always goes down well!! For a change from fruit.

Mine all love malt loaf!

mine have
fruit
breasticks
biscuits
HM cakes
boxes rasins

i dont go over board cause they eat tea here.
i do have one fussy chap though who dosent seem to like anything sweet or rasins or sultanas so we tend not to have things like scones and malt loaf although thinking about it maybe i should do these and offer him an alternative like a breadstick.

We have just started making pop corn. Not sure how healthy it is, but theres no sugar or salt in it. My 2 have about half a little cup full with some sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds at the bottom.
