Hello

Hubby going to be my assistant whilst he's going through his pre-reg, just wondered what I have to do e.g. what do I have to have in place.

He has a CRB

We are almost thru the pre-reg for him, just waiting for my lazy doctors to fill out his health declaration.

I won't be paying him, because he will be doing it out of love

I won't increase the numbers because he's just there for support

He won't be left alone with the children

What documents / policies / anything do I need to have in place for him to be my assistant?

You need to get the okay from Ofsted, Emlpoyers Liability Insurance (volunteers are included in this) and then you need to advise the parents.

Thats it as long as you are on the premises with the children.

He needs to sign his times in and out I think...

Hang on there's an assistant brochure thing on the Ofsted website isn't there?

Here it is! :D
