from a woman saying she needs childcare for tomorrow morning for her nearly 2 year old.

I know there could be loads of reason why this might happen, but really can parents not just take the day off work

Ive told her that i couldnt as im full (not really) but she sounded quite mad :panic:

It was just for the one day 8am - 4pm. Id normally pass enquiries onto another cm but i didnt with this one.. All seems to weird if you ask me.

Would anyone else of done this job????

how could a parent do that to a 2 year old! leave them with a stranger for the day.
If they are really stuck and have been let down with childcare they should just ring in sick!

She sounded quite flustered on the phone.

Surely a 2 year old would be in bed at 8.35pm anyways:eek:

When she phoned she said
"do you do one off care" I said "yes but i have to meet parents and child first". and contracts and all paperwork still need to be filled in and signed"

She said "its for tomorrow morning i dont have time for paperwork"

I said "Im afraid i carnt do it then sorry". She said "do i know a someone that would, without all the paperwork and stuff".

I told her all childminder would require her to do paperwork. she just said "ohh gods sake deosnt matter then"

I feel sorry for the 2 year old or maybe its used to being left with complete strangers:eek:

I would want to know why the carer had left it so late to arrange care. I know sometimes circumstances can occur that are unexpected but you need to consider the child.

I wouldn't of for a complete stranger for 1 day.
