My mindee is in full time education, was in reception last year and has now started in the next year up (year 2?)

He was only 5 in August. Does this mean that I continue doing EYFS with him even though he is not in reception, until 31st Aug next year? Do schools even do EYFS beyond reception? because most of the other children would be closer to 6, its just that he is the youngest in his class.

No you do not need to do EYFS since 31st August after his 5th birthday has passed (even if it was only a few days later). :)

aha cool - I didn't start him until Sept - so I am all clear, completely forgot that he was 5 before 31st Aug, and therefore 31st Aug has already been already

Good god didn't realise I was such a ditz!!! pmsl!

he's 5 - but since birthday is the 10th Aug, the EYFS finished the 31st Aug after that 5th birthday - so he is done with EYFS
