Hello
Bit stuck - hope I can ask for help on this bit as I've just seen heading for "ideas"..?

Great topic "This is Me!" (to include self care & likes/dislikes etc)

I've drawn an outline of each child onto big sheet of wallpaper. They've sat & coloured in fingernails, shorts, shoes, hair - you name it, it's on there.
Bit stuck on EYFS. So much involvement from children, yet all I've come up with is:
PD Equip & Mats: Mark making.
CD Being creative: talking about personal intentions - describing what they were trying to do - Colouring Nail Varnish on end of finger outline.
CD Expl Media & mats: Understand that they can use lines to enclose a space & begin to use these shapes to represent objects - Lines accross the person outline to mark Shoes & shorts.

Like I say - it seems very tame for enjoyment factor :)
Have I missed anything blindingly obvious ...?

Thanks in advance.

Think you have some great ideas well done

What about .......

Knowledge and Understanding of the World

Look at our house and name the rooms
Try to think of some games using your senses.
Encourage healthy eating and explain the importance of looking
after our bodies

Creative Development

Paint pictures of eyes and mouth
Do some colouring of different people
Do a picture of your parents or yourself
Sing ‘If you’re happy and you know it clap your hands’.

Physical Development

Discuss with your child that to stay healthy we need exercise, to eat healthily, sleep well and stay clean.
Encourage physical activities e.g. learning to swim, climbing on apparatus, riding a bicycle or pushing a scooter.
Play “ Simon" says

Communication, Language and Literacy

Discuss colour of eyes and hair and include the rest of the family.
Talk about what your hands can do
Talk about your legs and feet ask what they do – do this for other parts of the body
Encourage new words to get the children to point to parts of the body and tell you what they are called

Problem Solving, Reasoning & Numeracy

Draw round the hands of different members of your family. Put them in order of size when cut out. Do the same with feet.
How many fingers and toes have you got encourage counting

Personal, Social and Emotional Development

Talk about feelings e.g. what makes you sad, happy, frightened, laugh?
Encourage hand washing, cleaning of teeth and table manners at meal times

Hope they give you some ideas
