That is so annoying.

I had one parent turn up in the last Christmas holidays. We were all fast asleep in bed. When I eventually heard them knocking I am afraid I just shouted through the window I am not working and went back to bed. I had told them and put on bill but they had forgotten. They only lived over the road and I knew they were not working.

I have it written in the contract that I require 24 hours notice or I won't take them. Sometimes people just take advantage and after 5 years of bein treated like a doormat, I GOT STRICT!!! And it worked, no last minute txts/calls anymore. They either like it or lump it, but need to be aware that I have a family and a life that take priority over their last minute shopping trips.

I had a parent tell me one evening that LO wouldn't be in the next day as they were going out for the day - then text me at 9.05am to say they had changed their mind and hubby on his way with LO! I promptly text back and said I had made plans - felt really mean but I had promised my son I would take him swimming.........am I mean? Still charged them
