Yes you are all correct about St. Patricks day on 17th March unlike the Who Minds mag who have it on their list of festivals as 15th March. I thought that every man and his dog knew that it was on the 17th

A very much disgruntled Irish Girl (Loosely speaking but just cant bring myself to call myself a woman - thats my mother!!!!!!!!!!)

March 21st is also Ostara (Pagan festival of fertility and springtime) and just happens to be the Spring Equinox, as well. Day and night hang in perfect balance. Most Easter symbolism (like the egg) comes from Ostara (including the name!) so it's very easy to have a multi-cultural theme revolving around Spring, Easter, Ostara and the Equinox.

Would be rude of me not to celebrate Dydd Dewi Sant!! My daughter is trying on her traditional welsh dress as we speak. She will be wearing it for school on Friday.

We wont cover all those in any big way. For the national days I just put a flag on the notice board from whatever country from this site http://world-flags.info/index.html If you print out the flag you get a little write up about the country underneath which is mainly for my after school kids who are all 8 or 10. I only make a note of all that stuff in case I find something really good to tie in with them eg Easter or St Patricks day.
