do you make same lolly when funding?

hello.. I'm just wondering how everyone who offers 3 year old funded places charges re fees?

In my area childminders tend to charge around £4 - 5 per hour.. and funded places are around £3.40 I think.. I just wondered if you do funded places how do you make up your loss of income? or do you not?

You're not allowed to charge top up fees.

There are a lot of nurseries and playgroups suffering from the lower amount.

They make it pay a little by offering wrap around care and charging for meal times etc.

I know childminders who live in areas where fees are high who cannot make it pay and have stopped offering the funded places.

For others it's a pay rise :rolleyes:
