Mindee just counted 2 10 !!!

My 21 mth old mindee has just counted 2 10 as climbing stairs is this normal at her age??

i once heard a wee girl who had just turned 2 count to 20!!!! i was gobsmacked!!! my 2 1/2 year old son is only counting to 10 now!!! genious (sp.) children!!! xx

one lo i mind was 2 last month, she will quite happily count to 15,
but she will also count from 11 to 0 backwards, i was amazed when i heard her:eek: she is a very bright little girl, she will sing pretty much any nursery rhyme i ask her to:D

My dd is 20 months and can almost count to 10 when we are pointing at things. She needs a little help as she usually misses 5 out for some reason!

I think she's quite advanced to be able to do this - her speech is fantastic but that's probably because I can talk for England :D and it's quite often just the two of us so we have plenty of interaction.

I just hope she doesn't miss out on this too much when I start minding.

I would expect this in a child of this age, all children i have ever known at this age including my own and my nephews could count.
