Mindees mum just phoned me and asked me to have him on Thursday when she knows im on holiday.

She said she couldnt get anyone else to have him and was desperate, i still said no. She has known that im off this week for about 6 months now.

Yet i still feel really guilty for not having him.

What would everyone else of done?

:clapping: Well done:clapping: I would have said exactly the same - but still felt guilty. You are entitled to a holiday, even if you are not going anywhere, she has known for 6 months.

Do you know any other cm that may be able to take him on Thurs?

Well done you. It annoys me when they do this coz you end up feeling guilty instead of enjoying your time off. One of my mindees mums phoned me twice whilst I was away on holiday. She got short shrift from me but it is like water off a ducks back.

I would have said no.You have as much right as your parents to have a holiday and do with it what you like.Do they feel guilty about not working?

I have to say that atm I'm lucky that none of mine would do that unless it was a real emergency.

I did say to her that i knew another cm that would have him but she said no as he wouldnt know her. I didnt like to say that he knows her quite well as she is always here for coffee  .

If it had been any other day this week i probaby would of said yes as im just spending the week with my 2 kids (aged 14 and (so really im spending the week being ignored) and Thursday is the only day hubby is off work.

And as i want a new settee im trying my best to be nice to him :littleangel:
