CRY?

Mindee finishes today and moves to Gemany. Was contracted to finish at 5.30pm after tea - but mum collecting at 2pm now :(

His bag is packed, and his learning journal is up together with a DVD off all the photo's I have taken, a little photo album for mum and dad and a canvas with his foot print on as a momento.

Question is will I blub....watch this space.....

Ah that is sad when they leave! Mind you I cry at the drop of a hat so it wouldn't take much to set me off! Hope the last day goes well. You have done lots of lovely leaving gifts by the way

My mindee is also leaving today after 2.5 years, We are having a picnic tea in the park with lots of cakes, crisps, biscuits (We dont have this normally!). I feel sad for my 3year old who has known him all her life, but wish him all the best at nursery! looks like I'll be reaching for the tissues later!!!!

I find I focus so much on making sure their last day is fun etc I dont shed a tear when they go. A couple of days down the line is a whole different story......

It was funny actually because when mum and dad collected I was a bit disappointed that there was no thank you card. Anyway taking advantage of an early finish I scooped up my 2 and headed for Tesco to get some shopping done. While I was there I noticed some knock down roses and thought i'd treat myself and buy myself some thankyou flowers for a job well done. Got home to find the BIGGEST HUGEST bouquet of flowers on my deck - more flowers than I have ever seen in one bunch from the parents. These are the perks - I LOVE flowers :) now need to see if they will fit into my vase. I'll take a picture in a bit and show you :)

Argh that is lovely. When my mindee left end of july her mum brought me some flowers, 3 strawberry plants because she always sent strawberries for her daughters lunch. This was enough to set me off. Then she gave both my own children an envelope each with £5 in, i thought this was extreamly kind especially as i only had her daughter for 7 weeks.
