hi i am in need of some toy storage ideas for my son, we have just been given a high sleeper for him, he has a small room so the idea of the bed is to give him more floor space to play in, what i need is some ideas of how to store his toys, at the moment they are in small toy boxes that fit under his old bed, my partner suggested big toy boxes on top of each other but i am not sure if he would have the patience to wait for me to lift the top one down for him he can be impulsive due to unidentifyed special needs and also likes his 'private' time ie playing on his own in his room, so i need to find a toy storage that takes up little room but is accesible to him when i cannot help him.
any ideas gratefully recived

What about Ikea trofast system - you can get different sized frames and the boxes fit in them

Ikea Trofast - has boxes that slide in and out. I have some in my conservatory and my 14 month old, and 2 yr old mindee access everything fine.

They look quite funky too. They come in different combinations (and thereofre differing heights) so I am sure you will find some to fit under your sons bed.

have looked at these but seem quite pricey and we are on a serious budge at the mo, also want it to be small and these all seem to spread out to the side,
yes i know i am being fussy:blush: but its a small room and he spends a good part of the day up there so needs more space

Have a look at this Ikea range.

You can buy it all separatly. The frames are only £7 and you can get deep and shallow trays to fit in.

I've just done a wall in my sons room for all his stuff and it looks great. I'm planning on using this in my conservatory/playroom when it's built!

ikea expedit units are good as they are reasonably priced and come in different sizes. ive recently bought the biggest one, 5x5 and it stores most of my toys.

Hi, My son has a midi sleeper. He has got his chest of draws underneath the bed. Also various other boxes. I got his some lidded stacker boxes for the £1 shop these are light enough for him to pull out himself(he is 5). They are smaller then the normal stacker boxes you get and are square.

I've got this down stairs

it wont fit width wise but will do length. Its not that deep so will not take up to much room. I've only got the 3 baskets they fit loads in. I have also got a few games and puzzles in the slots and those silly things like megazords on top.
