Hi everyone,

With World Water Week starting on 16th August, I just wondered if any of you have any plans or ideas for activities to support it?

I have been looking at tuff spots and have purchased a large plant pot stand to use as a tuff spot. We have today had an artic theme in it with blocks of ice with insects frozen inside, polar bears, penguins and blue water (food colouring), the children loved it. I suppose you could do something on these lines.

I will be doing some measuring & pouring activities & looking at why it's important not to waste water & how lucky we are to have clean water (oxfam site has some greate stuff on it). Will also be doing some stuff on our bodies & how good water is for us etc. As as watering the plants & playing with the water table /squirters etc.

Some good ideas here. I was also thinking about the not wasting water side of it and hadn't thought about ice, etc. Will be doing some arctic activities too i think. Thanks! :)
