Hi,

My dressing up drawers are now overflowing...Im just wondering how you store your dressing up clothes? I thought about buying a big suitcase, but thoguht it might be a bit tricky for the younger ones to open? (Plus would look odd in the front room! :p

What do you store your stuff in?

I have mine in a roller box so it can be wheeled out by the kids and they can help themselves.

I have mine in a pop up basket but it's full to overflowing and I'd love a rail

Think Susan said you can get them in Argos but haven't had a chance to look yet

At the moment mine are in 2 large shopping bags ( not plastic bags!! ) that hold loads and zip up. But I'm thinking of getting a rail, I think it would look nicer.

I keep mine in two big plastic buckets. My dressing up stuff is made up of a lot of odds and ends like old shirts, skirts, dresses, scarves, hats etc. I find the kids use them more imaginatively when they are in the buckets than when I had them hanging on a rail.

Mine are in a big plastic storage box from Wilkinsons at the moment. Was thinking of getting a rail as Susan's looks sooooo good but I think that would be more for my benefit than the childrens!

I remember when I was little I used to love getting things out of boxes and not knowing exactly what it was like until it was out so I'm going to leave mine in there plus I have to store mine in the shed so they really need to be covered as my cat sleeps in there!

Mine are in labelled washing bags - you know the white string bags with zips you can buy 2 for a £1 from the pound shop?

The labels feature the contents and a picture :D

I have 2 Tuff Crate boxes full.

I really wish I had the room for a rail as I think it would be so much better and easier for the children to access them.

i am fairly limited on space so do toy rotation as I couldn't possibly have all the toys out at the same time.

I wish I had a toyroom :(

I need to re-arrange my whole house!!!

I also do the toys swapped on a rota. I have three "tubs" (more like skips!! :p ) that get swapped, a load of stuff that just stays out, and the dressing up I usually just leave out too. But this afternoon I have had a sort out and taken anything thats not being played with upstairs.

I'd love that rail thing though!

Susan could we have a picture from the middle of the day please!:)

I put all my dressing up clothes in large draw string bags. We have all the lovely expensive shop bought clothes in one, which they hardly ever play with. Then we have the one full of aprons, pull on skirts, old hats, bed jackets, handbag and purses and scarves. This is the one they always empty out and play with:eek:
