13th - St Lucia’s Day - National holiday in Sweden celebrating the life of St Lucia, a saint because of her kindness & love
Hanukkah - Jewish festival of lights – candles are lit every day – you can see them in many windows
20th - Eid ul-Adha - Muslims remember Abraham’s sacrifice of his son and gather to feast and exchange gifts
22nd - 1st day of Winter - This is the shortest day of the year in the UK – a day to think about spring being round the corner!

26th - Kwanzaa - African American time for celebration and to remember African roots
