Hi - I haven't quite started childminding yet (hopefully won't be long!) so I don't know how well these ideas will work, but how about:
Advertising at the local hospital (staff notices)?
Card up at the local adult education centre
Local doctors notice board
Local community centre, and also what about getting a t-shirt or fleece
printed with your childminding contact details (I think Amaranth (member on here) does this).

If any of these ideas get a response I would love to know!

speak to the school/s local to you - see if they will send out a leaflet with their newsletter, give out your details if they have any enquiries or put a poster on a noticeboard. If they won't do any of that - then stand outside the school and hand out fliers at school pick up times.

The majority of my enquiries have come through netmums, definately worth a try and it's free!

Also don't give up on the ads you've put out, I thought i'd wasted my time with the local shops etc, but my current mindee was a result of my card in a newsagent window and I had an enquiry yesterday from my card in the library.
