Im very thankful to Sarah for the planning for Rainy days, being put into practise now but stuck on a couple of areas for my next couple of months planning.

I know this has been discussed that we shouldnt be doing this but I feel confortable with having a plan in place with different themes and then add children led themes in with mine.

In November were going to cover Bonfire Night

I have

PSED - Get books from library or check internet for information on what Bonfire night means

CLL - Talk about the dangers of bonfires

PSRN - ???

KUW -Basic history of guy fawkes

Pd - ???

Cd - Make pictures of bonfires using paint and chalk

Any ideas on the ones ive missed would be great.

My brain just isnt working anymore.

PD- Running around, making big arm movements and going bang? (Pretend to be a firework)

PSRN- Look at bonfire pictures and count how many children are on the page. Make some pumpkin picture cards and Witch cards and play a game of snap?

I'm sure some others will come along with better ideas :)

PSRN - *BINGO...USING DIFFERENT COLOURED FIREWORKS

*IF OLDER CHILDREN. SHOW A PICTURE AND ASK THEM TO POINT
OUT DANGERS

*MATCH THE FIREWORK TO THE CORRECT BOX IE: STAR FIRE WORK
IN THE SKY/ STAR BOX...SQUARE FIREWORK /SQUARE BOX (iykwim)
OR HAVE LIKE LINES WHERE YOU FOLLOW TO MATCH TWO ITEMS
TOGETHER (FORGOT WHAT THEY ARE CALLED PROBABLY
SOMETHING SIMPLE LOL)

* DO TOPICS ABOUT DIFFERENCE BETWEEN NIGHT AND DAY (AS
CAN'T SEE FIREWORKS AT NIGHT)

PD- * I LIKE THE IDEA OF DANCING AROUND BEING A FIREWORK ...

* MAYBE YOU COULD PICTURES AROUND THE ROOM TO DO WITH
BONFIRE NIGHT IE: GUY FAWKES / FIREWORKS -DIFF COLOURS
ETC AND PLAY MUSIC AND ASK THE CHILDREN TO RUN TO A
CERTAIN PICTURE WHEN THE MUSIC STOPS.

Not very good at this either a few ideas but not very good.

All good ideas Kerrie, your better at it than you think. Danger one is good as tying safety in with the bonfire theme for the month.

This is why i like this forum because you can bounce ideas of each other.

Thanks:)

Thank you...Not sure why I did it all in CAPS though ???? lol

I think Danger is a good one...Feel quite proud of myself..maybe I will be good at this childminding after all ....I think it's hard if the children are young ..your limited to what you can do..

Glad I could help x
