On Tuesday I received an e-mail from a company calling themselves xxxxxxxxxx.co.uk. A very professional e-mail, and when you click on a link a very professional website, BUT there is no contact information, and no indication of who these people are. They ask you to sign up for their monthly newsletter and e-book, at a cost of £3 per month. This months e-book is called "Confused about EYFS?" (Well, aren't we all????? :) )

Has any one else had this e-mail, or indeed signed up for the monthly newsletters?

I have "Googled" them, but came up with nothing - even "Googling" the web address resulted in nothing, which made me very sceptical about it!

I posted the very same question a week or so ago!

A few people had had the email, but no one knew who they were.

I just deleted the email I'm afraid. I don't like unsolicited emails from companies who trawl though the CIS lists to find our email addresses.

Thanks for that. I didn't see the previous post, wasn't looking in the right place obviously.:o

My DH said to just delete it too, so that is what I will do - not going to sign up to anything that is dodgy!

Thanks again.

I have come accross them in my searches on the net (I like to know what everyone else is doing...;) ) but not sure about them.

Either way, you should never give anyone money if you dont know who they are. If their business is legit they will have no problems in giving you their info of where they are and who they are.

I've edited this post to remove links and names.

It is another example of why I ask that links to websites/information are not added without checking first that they are approved by the forum.

They could easily be some spamming site that is just after your email address or details. Something that really worries and annoys me. I want you all to be safe.

If you want to add a site, just run it by me first.

I got it and deleted it straight away too. I'm very suspicious of e-mails these days and don't open ones if I don't know who they are from.
