hi can anyone help me please. I cant find the thread that was done a while ago seperating polices into catorgories. It showed what policies you may want to put into each catagory. I have searched but just cant find it.

sorry not much help.

Mine are not categorised, they are all in one word document.

BE HEALTHY

Be healthy is the first of the five Every Child Matters Outcomes.

It relates to the following statutory welfare requirements:

Safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare.

Registered Childminders are expected to have procedures in place to ensure children are in a healthy environment and given support to learn about healthy living. This includes good hygiene practice such as hand washing, eating a nutritious and well balanced diet and getting enough exercise.


This Outcome could contain policies and procedures on:

Food & Drink (Healthy Eating)
Illness and Infectious Diseases (Sick Child)
Administering Medication
No Smoking

Additional Policies applicable to your Childminding service might include:

Sun Protection
Nappy/Toilet training
Head Lice
Sand Pit
Dental Hygiene
Pet
Sleeping Baby

Permission Forms might include:

Sun cream
Administering medication
Emergency Medical Treatment
Dental Hygiene

STAY SAFE

Stay safe is the second of the five Every Child Matters Outcomes.

It relates to the following statutory welfare requirements:

Safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare. Suitable premises, environment and equipment.

Registered Childminders are expected to have procedures in place to ensure children are kept safe. This includes both in the Childminders home and on outings.

Childminders are also responsible for supporting the children to learn about keeping themselves safe, for example stranger danger and road safety.

This Outcome could contain policies and procedures on:

Child Protection
Child Protection Contact Numbers
Health & Safety
Dropping Off and Collection
Uncollected Children
Lost Child
Accident and Incident
Emergency procedure
Emergency evacuation record
Allegations of Abuse against a Childminder

ENJOY AND ACHIEVE

Enjoy and achieve is the third of the five Every Child Matters Outcomes.

It relates to the following statutory welfare requirements:

The learning and development requirements.

Registered Childminders are expected to have procedures in place to ensure children are stimulated in a safe and caring environment.

Childminders should provide a range of activities both inside and outside the home to meet the needs and interests of the individual children in their care.

This Outcome could contain policies and procedures on:

Care Learning and Play

I have a document that links ECM and EYFS in free downloads... just go to FREE downloads at the top of the forum. I think it's on the right hand side of the lists.
