I have filled in my Health Declaration Booklet and am hoping to drop it off tommorow. ( It's gonna cost £76.50!!!!!!! ) Anyway it's all done apart from one question: A15 Provision Name. Is this the name of my childminding buisness? And do I have to fill it in? (I haven't come up with a name yet!:panic: )

Is £76.50 about normal for the Doctor to do your Health Declaration? I was told it could be anything from £0 to £75! Typical that my GP has to be just that little bit higher!

i was told it could be anything from around £10 - £150, I guess it depends on the area you live, thankfully mine was towards the bottom ammount

£76.50! Wow! That's scandalous!

Don't forget to keep the receipt to put it through your books when you start minding.

The receptionist did seem a little embarased to ask for the money so I think she thought it was too much too! I did make a point of saying to her that it was one of the highest that I had heard of ahh well I need it so no choice.

I think on my pre-reg course they mentioned that you can claim back up to £50 as part of their start up in my area, so fingers crossed that will take the sting out of it!!

It is a ridiculous amount isn't it

It really does vary from area to area and I have known some others to be a lot higher than that..

Hopefully you will be able to claim some back on the start up grant.

Good luck:thumbsup:
