Hi everyone.

We just had to buy a new lawn mower yesterday as our old one broke. Does anyone know if I can claim for it on my expenses?

I have to make sure the grass is cut so the garden is tidy for mindees! ;)

I don't think you will because you would have a lawn mower if you were not childminding. Its not essential to your job.

LOL:laughing: What about a TV stand? Just bought one of those too to replace the one I have which has 2 glass doors... I could say they were a hazard and I had to buy one without glass doors??!!!

i claimed for my tv cabinet as the old one was open and LO kept putting her fingers in the video. so i bought a new one that had closed doors to make it safer! lol.
Yes i suppose i could have just bought a video lock, but i also use the one of the shelves as a storage place for nappies and wouldn't have bought if i hadn't been minding.

Ladies all these expenses are covered under wear and tear so if you claim the 10% you cannot claim the expense

I claimed for our new fence panels. Old ones were up but a bit rough and splinters were a danger!

Fence panels are different and not wear and tear as they are an essential part to your business and a must have.
