I would like to undertake some further training, but am not sure what to do or where to go. I am NVQ level three qualified (as have BTEC diploma in nursery nursing) and did my ICP when I registered 7 yrs ago. I can't do daytime courses as it is almost impossible to get cover for the farm, dd and the minded children :( . What have others done?? And more importantly how did they fit it in?????? All suggestion greatly received, however daft :D

I am doing E123 and E124 Open University - together they will give me a level 4. There are tutorials which I go to if I can but they are not compulsory. The course is totally do-able from the study books OU send you.

I'm sort of enjoying it most of the time! Here are the links... :D

Can early years not pay for any courses for you.

I recently passed my nvq3 funded by early years and done in my own time with a trainer/mentor on the end of the phone when needed and visiting once a mnth at a time suitable to me. Give them a ring it's worth a try to see if they have any higher level courses.

Sarah, thanks for the links.
I have to say, they do look very scarey  and they did use lots of long words. Its been 16 yrs since I was at college full time I'm not sure if I'm up to it??? :D
