Newbie - pre-reg question start up grant

Hi Everyone,


I am in the process of completing my application forms. i need to do the start up grant application. The question is there a need for childminders in your area.... How do i know if there is? If there are childminders with some vacancies does that mean there isnt a need? I looked briefly on the family hub and counted that there are approx 76 places for children but only 25 vacancies. Does this mean there isnt a need? What did people do/research to prove there was a need for the grant?
