I work two days a week at the moment and I plan monthly themes and I pick 2 or 3 activities around my theme to do in these two days.

I also plan 2 outings ( one per day) either park, library / playgroup etc

and the rest is free play, or what we fell like doing.

Is that enough?

it sounds like plenty in fact maybe even too much for two days lol but if your happy with it thats what matters , i would say an outing on just one of the days would also be acceptable ! x

Thanks Haribo, I have the children for 11 hours a day that is why I like an outing a day otherwise it is much too long at home.

Sounds like you are doing enough, does your planning include group and individual planning on the theme?

I plan for the week - all mine are part timers, so it's just a matter of making sure I have enough resources etc for whoever is here on the day.

Then I do each child's individual planning ... that's weekly for children who come less than 3 sessions and a couple of times for more than 3 :D
