Just wondering if everyone uses the NCMA ones or have they devised their own? do people just do their own short term contracts for holiday children etc or do you again buy the NCMA ones?

I used to use NCMA ones but now i do my own contracts - its cheaper and i just do a photocopy when they are completed. I can then tailor them to meet my own requirements.

I do my own and adapt according to the needs of the parent and then photocopy. I have taken a parent to small claims court with one of my own contracts without any problem.

I like to use MM as it includes the bit about parental responsibilty and its official looking. I do my own temporary contracts though as the 5 page contract can be a bit daunting!

Thanks everyone for their replies, they've been really helpful. I've decided to do my own contracts for short term mindees (school hols etc) and for after schoolers, then use the NCMA ones for the mindees I care for for more then a day a week.

Cheers!

Am i right in thinking if you are with NCMA, if you have a problem but haven't used there contracts then they will not help you legally.
