I was hoping someone could remind me what we are to supply to the CSSIW when we have our inspections? When I was registered she told me I would need to supply an essay but I cant remember if this is correct?

Any help greatly appreciated x

About a month or so before your inspection, they send you a questionnaire to complete.

Is that what you mean? :D

Hi

I registered in Feb this year.....I didn't do an essay but we did fill out questionaires...unless it is a very new thing, after being registered they told us that they were starting to cahrge for the ICP as people were booking htem and not completing it so costing money.

any other questions queries just yell...theres me, manjay, tulip, polly2 and there may be more under CSSIW but different areas do sometimes want different things

Included in your inspection paperwork is a Self Assessment form and questionnaires for parents. The form is about 30 pages long and asks about all aspects of your service. This has to be completed and returned within 30 days and then you will get an unannounced inspection within the next 3 months. The essay you are thinking about may be your Quality of Care report. Legally you have to produce a report annually (even in non inspection years) that outlines how you are reflecting on and moving forward with your service. Tbh when I received my paperwork for my first inspection my inspector told me not to worry too much about the report and she went through some ideas of how to do it when she came to see me. I have now received training on ways to set it out and it has become much clearer.

Just shout if you have anymore questions.

Thanks to you all for replying.

I had my inspection in March and so much had happned since they that I cant quite remember exactly what she said I needed to do. To be honest im really not sure. Im sure she said something along the lins of recording things I had told parents as I would need to submit an essay every year?! :panic:

Does this sound familiar to any of you? I just I dont want to not be doing something that I should be doing?

Thanks again xx :)

Just seen this thread
I think it sounds like a quality of care report like manjay said.
Give inspector a ring - hope you get sorted
