Hi everyone

I have a friend who has a 3 year old child that goes to the nursery where I work, at the moment, who has said she would like to use me on odd occaisions. For example during school hols & when grandparents can't have him. It will only be as and when so how do I word a contract? Do I even need a contract? I did tell her that I would only be able to have him if I had spaces which she understood.

Any help much appreciated.

As this person is a friend I would definitely advise you to have a contract

I always use NCMA ones but you can write your own

You need to put down exactly what you are prepared to offer or you may find that you get taken advantage of

Good luck

I will second Miffy - always have a contract (specially for friends!),

I think you can get short term/babysitting contracts on the NCMA website

Hi
I would say you definately need a contract. I would also make sure that you put in any contract a bit about only if a space is available on that day requested and a minimum notice period of when they want you say 7 day notice or something. Otherwise you might just have them turning up on the doorstep playing on the friendship.

Thanks for quick replies girls :)

My instinct was to do a contract but wasn't sure how to word it etc. Will go to NCMA website and have a look. I am still waiting for my start up pack but have been assured it is on it's way

Thanks again. Love this forum!

It is always advisable to use NCMA contracts if you have NCMA insurance :D
