I'm just updating my policies and am unsure about the sickness one. At the moment I say that I can't care for a child for 24 hrs after sickness or diarrhoea. Should this be changed to 48 hrs or kept at 24?

Iv'e put 48 hours on mine, but the schools around here only say 24 hours so i think parents would expect me to take there child back after 24.

Can i just ask is it 'law' that we can't have them for 48 hours after sickness or is it just a recommendation?

One of my mindees is often sick when he coughs or stuffs too much food in his mouth! Does it mean i have to wait 48 hours for him too?

This isn't sickness and I wouldn't exclude at all for this.

This is an old chart as says 24 hours but is now 48.

If you zoom into the left hand side (under - Further Information) it gives reference to a date of March 1999......hence the reason I think it is well behind the times :D
